Lots of News

I haven't posted for a while as I have been so busy with lots of quilting. Also I have along with my sister started up a market stall called "Crafty Sisters". Been about 12 months in the making, as Deb lives on a sheep station down past Burra and I am in Adelaide. We chat daily and also catch up when we can in person. Our first market was at the local Scouts Hall. Both of us were so excited and had a ball. We have another 5 markets before the year is out. I have also been busy in my quilting room. Yesterday I finished making a Bionic Bag for myself. It's the second one I have made, first one was sold. This one I have made for myself. I love how there is just so much space inside this little guy. Look at all those zippers and the room is just amazing. Dreams and Zipper Bags

Lots has changed in my sewing area now I have a few more years under my sewing foot. From starting to quilt in 2008 with never having used a sewing machine to now sewing and selling my items. Also I have even been asked to make items for people as gifts for their friends. One of my dreams has come true, I have joined forces with my sister Deb and we have started a small business, calling it Crafty Sisters. We can be found on Facebook. In the last couple of days I have managed to make 13 zipper bags.  As our first market is on the 22 July. Already I have cushions, mug rugs, children bags and some baby items ready for our table. Next on my list to make are baby change mats. So happy with the direction I am heading in. Life is good.

My Wall Hanger

Over the last few years I have made a few Michele Hill projects and given away as gifts. I though it was time to have one for myself. The last few days I have been working on this wall hanger. Saw it at the Barossa Cottage quilt shop. I was lucky enough to buy the last kit there. Very excited to think this one is staying in the house. I love machine applique and can't wait to see it coming together.
